smoke rings

If I was a peanut, I would grow underground. Did you know that peanuts grown underground? I am not making this up. Anyway, if I was a peanut, I would grow underground all chummied up with at least one other peanut, but I think I’d rather be in an extend-a-pod with two or three other peanuts. If I was a peanut, I would want to be unearthed at night, so the sunlight wouldn’t hurt my poor little peanut eyes (if I had eyes). If I was a newly unearthed, moon-bathed peanut, I would want to be roasted in fire, which wouldn’t hurt because I’d be a peanut with no nervous system. Then I would want to be covered in honey and salt, LOTS of salt, and LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of honey. Then, if I was a newly unearthed, moon-bathed, fire-roasted, honeyed and salted peanut, I would want to be taken to the Beltane ritual and I would want to be consumed by the Goddess! And since I (as a peanut) would contain the most concentrated protein in the plant queendom, She would be oh, so very happy to transform me into pure energy!

My Dear Circlers,
Are you dizzy from circling? Are you woozy from zikring? Are you
fuzzy from drinking too much winter mead? I have no fixes or
suggestions... just a completely unrelated request of the
Universe... Can we please ditch this whole freezing cold, clinging
icicle, drizzling winter hum-drudgery and get into SPRING!?!?!

Coffee Community Update: Are you curious? Well, let me tell you...
After our awesome community potluck, conversation and ritual on
Imbolc... We (Tim, Jodie, and I, along with Christine) have been
working on foundational pieces to pull this project together...
We have registered a business "The Community Cup" which is the
official coffee shop aspect - We are wading through forms and
applications to get "Kosi," the non-profit entity, up and running
- We have been scouting out locations around town... nothing
stunningly perfect yet, but a couple interesting options near
Old Town... We are still happy to hear your suggestions and get your
help in all sorts of ways - We will be organizing some fundraising
in the next couple weeks and more actively pursuing the perfect
building... Feel free to ask questions and offer support in
any/every way!

To RSVP for ritual, for more information about any of these wacky
events, to offer assistance for Ostara, Kosi, or the Save-a-Beagle
Foundation, for backward jump-roping classes, or to have your picture
taken with the last snow man on earth (disappearing by mid-March,
not to return until January of 2011, I saw him this week, he has
crazy twigs for his wild hair!), please do call or e-mail me, your

Monday, Feb 1st - HEY, PLEASE PAY ATTENTION...
THIS IS A BIG DEAL LISTING!!! - Jodie, Tim and I have been in
conversation about starting a serious (and fun) community project.
The goal is to create a gathering place for everyone...
good coffee, tea, a couple delectables, and a separate space large
enough for all the rituals, chants, dances, zikrs, and other things
y'all want to organize. We want to offer spirituality and nutrition
classes and provide a consistent space for community events. And we
would LOVE your input. What would be included in your ideal vision
for this sort of place? What needs and desires do you have? What
resources would you like to contribute? How can we collectively
shape a vision and steer toward an awesome community center for
everyone? -
Please join us for a potluck and open forum conversation evening
followed by (or including) some ritualized intention setting.
Imbolc is the time for planting seeds, nurturing ideas, setting
intentions and making dedications for the growing season. Let's! -

Really, folks, it's cold out there! Don't forget your gloves,
mittens, earmuffs, scarfs, hats, long underwear, wool socks
(double up as needed), parkas, jumpsuits, lipstick, safety goggles,
oxygen tank, and toothbrush. There is a serious recurring February
threat, commonly known as the meter reader, but don't be fooled!
It's really that scaredy-cat groundhog trying to sneak into your
garage to liberate the oil cans.
Keep the porch light on.
This has been a public service announcement from your friendly
Motel 6 representative. Thank you.
Please call or e-mail me to RSVP for ritual, or for more info about
all sorts of things. The weather is making me giddy.
Love and Spring-Ready Blessings!

To RSVP for ritual (blue moon or Imbolc), for detailed, though personally slanted, reviews on “café con leche,” for exclusive photographs of Matara’s Yule tree cranes, to share a new chant you learned while visiting the tip of Italy’s toe, or to sign up for a ride on Mary Poppin’s magical umbrella, I would be ever so pleased if you would call or e-mail me: (970)227-5275 or rain@trigoddess.org.
And as we drift into 2010, please remember to wear your seatbelt, look both ways before crossing, brush and floss, sit up straight, wash behind your ears, tie your laces, dot your eyes (or is that cross your eyes?), cross your teas (or is that sip your teas?), and always have more fun than safety! Donuts for breakfast are A-Okay, ice cream for dinner is just fine, but Cheetos are toxic. Stay away from beverages that glow in the dark!
Love and many heartfelt blessings for a delicious 2010!

Print it out, Fill it in, Pop it in the mailbox! I’m so looking forward to another weekend of prayer with you!

To RSVP for rituals, for directions, more information, or just because you want to make sure there’s a live person over here and not some smart-ass computer generating strange inter-faith tumble-jumble e-mails… feel free to call or e-mail (970)227-5275 or rain@trigoddess.org. And hey, if you have a hard time with the holidays, have some wassail, egg-nog or spiced rum. Isn’t it grand that so many holiday traditions include drinking heavily! Coincidence? I think not.
Blessings of light that peeks through the darkness!

To RSVP for Samhain or Full Moon, please do call or e-mail me just as quick as you can: (970)227-5275 or rain@trigoddess.org. For a daily dose of Hazrat Inayat Khan, subscribe to the Bowl of Saki: http://wahiduddin.net/saki. To amplify your hippy status, try apple juice in your granola instead of milk; tasty, healthy and great for illiciting snears from family members. Please don’t give children celery or carrot sticks for Halloween. They hate that. When will Whole Foods be coming out with a “healthy” version of Snickers?
High Fructose Corn Syrup Blessings to every single one of you!

You know, there are ultra-violet light treatment boxes you can have if you are able to convince your psychiatrist that you suffer seasonal depression due to the fading light. Most Pagans don’t qualify, but sleeping under a grow light just might be an interesting experience… or not.
Happy Autumnal Blessings!!

SUFI MEDITATION RETREAT
Friday, September 4th to Sunday, September 6th – follow this link to view the flyer and/or register: http://trigoddess.org/sufiretreatflyer.pdf

See! I told you it was a lot! I need a nap. I recommend hammocks for afternoon snooze time. I also recommend making silly faces at children; driving, walking, skipping or riding bikes directly through puddles of all sizes; smoothies for breakfast (better than coke, but beware the raspberry seeds that get stuck in your teeth), sunscreen on the tips of your ears (opposite the lobe), RSVP-ing for ritual and contacting me for more information about anything on this HUGE list of events.
Until we meet again,
Sára

three cheers for shade!

Dear Ones,
We have so very much in common! For example, we were all sired by human fathers and born to human mothers, we all have hearts that continue to pulse (approximately 60 to 100 beats per minute) through every moment we’re alive, we all have facial hair (though some more visible than others), and we all breathe exactly the same composition of 21% oxygen-content air on a normal breath-to-breath basis.
Let’s celebrate!

And, my darlings, please remember to light the bottle rockets pointing AWAY from your face, and at least 500 yards from the nearest propane filling station. And, I’m sorry I have to say this, but potato chips being the number one fourth of July food, I feel it is my duty to warn you, that if you don’t chew thoroughly, you run a serious risk of internal injury and bleeding, which is no way to celebrate the birth of our peaceful nation. Beware the chips!

Hail Caesar!
