Dear Friends, I’m imagining this season as a picture like you’d find on old maps, a face in the shape clouds, blowing the winds with billowing lines expanding forward and outward…you know what I’m talking about? A simple line drawing that is our best attempt at depicting the powers of nature, the energy that pushes our ships across the oceans of life. Is your ship being pushed? Hello Friends! My children are old and tall. Reminiscing about early years in their lives includes a flow of songs, singers, and some really lovely music that was woven through their childhoods. And, wouldn’t you know it, it’s the 97th anniversary of a talk Pir-o-Murshid Inayat Khan gave in DENVER! Yep. He came through Denver and gave a talk downtown in 1926. Beloved Community, Last week, in Kansas, I saw the over-enthusiastic daffodils suffering the natural consequences of blooming too soon. Sad little babies.
