Dear Ones, I’m just home from a couple weeks wandering across the country singing, praying, listening, tending The Holy, and being with beautiful loved ones! Life is sweet! And fleeting. And made of SOUND!! I’m fired up to sing with y’all back here in Colorado and in the magical land of Zoom! Beloved Friends, Oh, this week, my heart is heavy…and life is glorious…and still… I find myself unexpectedly sad and moved and powerfully touched by the death of Sinéad O’Connor. Probably there is enough punk ass teenager alive and well in my being to reflect with visceral awareness on Sinéad’s influence on my younger self. And, in recent years, I have been keenly aware of Sinéad’s spiritual pursuits and study, conversion to Islam, Christian priesthood, and her unwavering convictions, reliance on God, the power of prayer, and the unflinching authenticity she expressed in her raw humanness.  Sometimes these magnificent, pained, sharp, sincere expressions of human beings can give strength, courage, and compassion to those of us who are doing our best to make our lives useful and to be of benefit to the world.  I’ll be shaping tomorrow evening’s Dance of Universal Peace evening in honor of Sinéad O’Connor, her power, humility, truth, tenderness, and full-on-ness!  Saturday, July 29th – Dances of Universal Peace at the Rocky Mountain Miracle Center in Denver (1939 S Monroe) – 7 PM to 9 PM (1 AM Sunday, UTC) – in person or Zoom Here! – $15 to $30 suggested Dinner beforehand at Mad Greens, if you’d like to join us.  Monday, July 31st – Sufi Meditation – 9:30 AM Mountain (3:30 PM UTC) – RSVP if you’re coming over…or Zoom Here! Dear Ones, I thought about taking my adorable car through the car wash. I also thought about turning the hose on her. Then I thought, Colorado is now a tropical climate with rainstorms every other day. So I saved the water and waited for God to wash my car. And She sure did!! Alhamdulillah! Dear Community, You know, spiritual community can take so many forms, and serve so many purposes, meet so many longings in so many directions. For whatever reason, that Glorious Mama God has shaped my being and my life in such a way that people show up and talk to me about these things. If you’re reading this, you are probably one of the people who resonates with what I offer, and I am happy to welcome you to the forms of spiritual community that might meet you in this moment of your own perfect path and soul’s desire. Things keep moving and grooving along, depending on my own longings, and the ways I am asked to meet your wishes.
