Ironic how the earth’s rhythms are settling further and further into stillness, and our social calendars are in fierce opposition!
I invite each of us to slow down, pay attention to the wisdom of nature, cultivate quietude wherever possible.

Pir Moinuddin Christopher Clarke will be our special guest and my esteemed co-leader for this Thursday’s Dances of Universal Peace in Fort Collins! – Thursday, December 12th, 7 PM – At Unity Church (1401 W Vine) – Moinuddin was here to co-lead a retreat with me last fall. He brings a depth of knowledge and a passion for spiritual practice that encourages all of us to tend The Holy in our lives and in the world.

Saturday, December 14th – Deadline for submitting your interest in the Cherag training program, which starts at the beginning of January
Monday, December 16th – Sufi Meditation at my house – 2727 Alan St, Fort Collins (or if you live far away, you can join us online) – 9:30 AM
Friday, December 20th – 7 to 9 PM – Winter Solstice Celebration and Dances of Universal Peace at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Boulder (5001 Pennyslvania Ave) – 7 PM to 8 PM will be a musical, ceremonial, dancing celebration led by Dana Lightsey, Debra Hammond and me… then, from 8 to 9 PM we’ll have more Dances of Universal Peace for those who enjoy a longer time of honoring the season of darkness and light through dancing.
Saturday, December 21st – WHITE ZIKR in Denver – 7 PM – at the Rocky Mountain Miracle Center (1939 S Monroe St) – please wear all white… we’ll be honoring the return of the light with candle-lighting, poetry, and our devotional delicious Zikr practice… snack and dessert potluck with Sufi-centric conversation following our evening program.

Wednesday, December 25th – Celebrating the life and teachings of Jesus the Mystic – music, meditation, chanting, body prayer, dancing… join us for a participatory, contemplative attunement to the heart of Christ… – 7 PM – Unity Church (1401 W Vine, Fort Collins) – $10 to $20 suggested donation
Monday, December 30th – Sufi Meditation at my house – 9:30 AM
Tuesday, December 31st – SUPER CHANT for the New Year! – 7 PM to 1 AM – At the Unity Church (1401 W Vine, Fort Collins) – bring snacks/desserts/drinks to share… we’ll be singing out the old and singing in the new! – Our evening will include a couple social breaks so you can enjoy each other’s good company and honor this transition moment with beauty and intention.
$20 to $40 suggested donation
Starting with the new year, all dances and chants I’m leading will be on Fridays!
