While I am a big fan of working with our strengths, doing what we’re good at, and thereby justifying my lengthy procrastinations… because it is somewhat of an inherent talent…

Tuesday, December 11th – Sufi Study Circle – 7 PM – 449 Clover Ln – this is the first meeting, exploring the teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan. Our time will include a little singing, brief periods of silent meditation, readings from Pir-O-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan, possibly some Wazifa practice (reciting Beautiful Names of God), and a short discussion period – All levels of interest are welcome! – by donation

Thursday, December 20th – Yule Dance, I’ll Dance, We’ll All Dance! – Solstice Dance… some ceremonial elements included… celebrate the longest night and the return of the light in community with music, movement and joy! – 7:30 PM – 346 E Mountain – $10 suggested
Saturday, December 22nd – Solstice Celebration at Mile-Hi Church – I will be leading dances from 12 noon to 1:30 PM – 9077 W Alameda Ave, Lakewood – I’ve shared dances with this church community a couple times before and they are SO MUCH FUN!!!! HUGE groups of people with GREAT BIG hearts, JOYFUL OPEN minds and awesome energy! Come join us!
Saturday, December 22nd – Yule Celebration at the Mercury Café – I don’t know how many years in a row this has been happening, but it’s WONDERFUL! – 8 PM there’s a Dervish dancer, then Tuatha plays… around 9:30 or 10 PM, I facilitate a ritual with all the magnificent Pagans… then Tuatha plays some more. Lots of dancing and intention… a beautiful way to bring in the new Solar year! – $13 at the door

Tuesday, December 25th – HAPPY BIRTHDAY to JESUS!!! – I bet he was the most adorable baby… that perfect, rosy brown skin, the cutest little baby feet (God would have made sure to give his own son the MOST gorgeous baby toes! They probably looked like tiny little pink peas!) – Want to do dance at the Starhouse in Boulder? Timothy always leads a beautiful dance on Christmas night…

YES TO ALL NIGHT SCRYING RITUALS… my mama does this witchy ritual every year in which she melts down pewter and drops it into water to make little explosions of hot metal… then the hard, pewter is fished out of the water and examined for omens… I would say not to try this at home, but that wouldn’t be any fun… so instead I’ll say, ask my mom and dad about it before trying this at home. My dad NEVER gives dangerous or sketchy advice to ANYONE about ANYTHING!

YES to sleeping in and sleeping off the headaches, heartaches and bellyaches of all this cultural craziness. I suggest extending the “sleep in” until at least St Patrick’s Day if not longer.
NO SUNRISE RANCH DANCE on the 1st

YES to all the grocery stores FINALLY going back to their usual disgusting selection of muzak!!!! Hey, did you know there’s all this science and a serious market around “Muzak?” Who knew! Check this out… made me laugh: http://www.muzak.com/
